Artist trading cards
Sketch a design that you would like to trade to another artist. That artist will in turn trade one to you.
Size requirements 2.5 x 3.5 and paper must be 80 lb. or higher
Total of 200 cards can be selected for trade.
Good craftmanship is a must.
Your choice of media
Mixed media is also fine.

JR Artist/ Art that communicates Propaganda art/photography
JR's work started as graffiti and tagging but then changed over time to Propaganda photography. He found his voice in this form of art. He risks arrest in many of these situation and his he always hides behind his sunglasses for disguise. His work is important and has become the voice for many human issues that others have tried to silence. Think of a human rights or animal rights issue that you are passionate about. Find your own personal way to express your concerns artistically. Any medium. Develop three sketches and explain how you would like to proceed. See Mrs. Henderson and discuss your plans.

Research photography and discuss how it changed art. Label one page Photography
Research JR the artist and explain the meaning behind three of his famous photos. Label another page JR and follow the guidelines for artist page for both
nformation that should be present on all pages:
1. List titles, media and sizes on three works of art. Analyze one work of art using key critique words below.
2. Date of birth/death
3. Explain the job, art movement/art period ( art history information)
4. List at least four current events
5. Who inspired the artist to create or taught the artist
6. Recreate several of the artist famous works of art
BE CREATIVE the more creative the better
CREATIVE CHALLENGE
Creative CHALLENGE will be in a 3x5 area in your sketchbook more than one per page is fine.
CREATE A SMALL WORK OF ART EVERY DAY
Your choice of medium
CAN BE MIXED MEDIA
Half should be in color
Checked monthly last Friday of the month (one per day)
Variety and Value should be present
Homework assignment and in between projects

What tools are important for doing observational drawing?
What steps are important to be successful when drawing from life? (see the attached links for information)

Find three different objects and do an observational drawing of each in your sketchbook. Follow the important steps below in the links. These drawings are for homework and due at the end of this assignment. They should be attached below along with your class Observational Drawing.
